Note: The equipment used in this wireless bridge is an enterprise-level professional bridge device.
The point-to-multipoint bridging application is an extension of the point-to-point bridging application function, which can realize the network interconnection between multiple isolated outlets or branch structures, such as the communication between the ports of the port.
Its network deployment consists of a central node and several edge nodes. All edge nodes establish wireless connections with the central node. Communication between the edge nodes must be performed through the central node and cannot be performed directly. The point-to-multipoint bridging application is particularly suitable for the situation where there are many branch sites. By setting up a central node in a suitable geographical location, the number of wireless link connections can be reduced, and the occurrence of network loops can be avoided.
Compared with the traditional wired network connection, wireless network bridging has many advantages, mainly reflected in the following aspects:

The wired network must be dug, and due to the terrain, it cannot be laid arbitrarily, and the construction period is long.

The wireless bridge communication only needs to maintain the spread-spectrum radio station. When a fault occurs, it can quickly find the cause and restore the normal operation of the line.
Ø The wireless bridge network can quickly (within several tens of minutes) set up communication links to achieve the purpose of temporary, emergency, and disaster-resistant communication, while the wired network connection takes a long time. In summary, wireless bridge communication exceeds traditional wired network connection methods in many aspects such as reliability, availability, and survivability. Especially in some special geographical environments, it shows its superiority.
